The El Duque liveaboard, Mexico is a 53ft converted trawler offering fantastic dive cruises in the Sea of Cortez. She has 2 cabins, each with single bunk beds for 4 guests, air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. There is a comfortable living area and fully-stocked galley where a variety of home-cooked meals and snacks will be served throughout the day. Meals are healthy and hearty and plenty to sustain the appetite. Special dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice. The indoor salon offers a great place to relax out of the sun to watch a movie or play a game of cards. The sun deck is a great place to relax with a book or enjoy a cocktail in the evening. There are also kayaks available for use to go exploring.

The Sea of Cortez has been referred to as the aquarium of the world, and for good reason. Nearly 3000 marine species are found in this biologically diverse region. Los Islotes is one of the highlights of the trip, where a colony of over 400 sea lions and many inquisitive juveniles live. The varying seasons determine what marine life can be spotted, but whales, dolphins, sharks mobula rays and turtles are regular sightings. Diving takes place from the easily accessible swim platform at the back of the boat, or the support tender - La Duquesa.
